1993 On their only off-day of spring training, Indian pitchers Steve Olin and Tim Crews die when their motorboat strikes a pier on Little Lake Nellie in Clermont, Florida. Bob Ojeda, their teammate, is severely injured, but the southpaw will return in early August, posting a 2-1 record for the Tribe, ending his 15-year career after a brief stint with the Yankees next season.
